Favourite scene I wrote

EXT. PARK IN NOVI BEOGRAD – DAY

Ksenija is holding Nikola’s hand while she is taking him through the park, decisively, with a quick walk. Nikola’s shoelaces are untied and he is moving slowly after her.

KSENIJA

Quit dragging your feet. Hurry up.

NIKOLA

My shoelaces are untied. Hold on.

Ksenija stops and waits for Nikola to tie his shoelaces. He is doing it clumsily and starts to complain to Ksenija, expecting that she does it for him.

NIKOLA

I don’t know how to do it. Can you do it for me.

KSENIJA

You know, how! I’ve shown you so many times.

Nikola continues to tie his shoelaces.

NIKOLA

And why don’t we go home?

KSENIJA

I told you already – Mum is sick.

She told me to go to Dad’s.

NIKOLA

When did she get sick?

KSENIJA

I don’t know. This morning. She told me if you are good and if you listen to me, that I should buy you something sweet.

NIKOLA

Milkshake!

KSENIJA

We have no money for it. Don’t be so picky.

NIKOLA

I want milkshake!

KSENIJA

You will get what I buy you and that’s it. Let’s go.

Nikola gets up and the two go on down the street.

My favourite film quote

“Roy Batty: All those moment will be lost… in time… like tears in rain.”

Blade Runner! (1982)
